Elyza had her first sweet taste as she had a sip of the Godiva shake mum and dad had.

In #Dubai you really can find everything. It had been only a few months since we left Belgium, but some home tastes were starting to be felt. Then we saw the Godiva place and sat at the table and ordered 2 shakes and a box of chocolates. The bliss!!

Elyza did not particularly liked chocolate. I found that weird for a kid to not be fond of chocolate. Then we thought maybe it is just that she is not used to it. Maybe this is too sweet. Maybe the chocolate texture is a new territory yet to be explored. With Elyza's autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis, it all became clearer why as a baby chocolate was not a "wow" food, on the contrary chocolate texture, taste and colour are all sensory avoiding and sensory sensitive factors.

A weird one for a Belgian to find out her daughter is not a chocolate fan.
